Public Market development is a distinct skill and is quite different from the development of other commercial multi-tenanted spaces. As design proceeds, many of the recommended tenant uses will need to have their own specifications specific to that use. For example, a fish store needs to have negative air venting, washable floor and wall surfaces, a floor drain, etc.
The architect should work hand in hand with an individual with experience in the management, design, and development of multiple Public Markets as well as the end user tenant (where possible) in finalizing the design of the individual spaces.
